The design idea is based on three independent and overlapping intervention levels 1. A structure for the conversion of renewable energy, with a 2,8 MW peak photovoltaic power plant arranged along the main transportation lines; a concentrating solar thermodynamic power plant with flat mirrors of 300 kW peak power output integrated with a 1 MW biomass power plant; a concentrating solar thermodynamic power plant with molten salts storage of 350 kW peak power output; a wind power plant based on an array of micro wind generators suspended under the existing viaducts for a total of 96 kW; a system with concentrating photovoltaic panels for a total of 420 kW. 2. Buildings and spaces for research and development of eco-compatible technologies, to be developed at a regional and national; 3. The creation of a system of poly-functional structures and a grid of paths and roads to improve the quality and the utilization of surrounding areas, favoring the development of the local economy. |
