The south facades of the buildings are covered by solar panels. The north facades are covered with vertical gardens in order to maintain the green impression of the landscape. The southern columns of the bridges are covered by solar panels, as well as the roofs of the shades and cafeterias. A large part of the carriageway will be covered by solar panels as well. Those areas can be visited either by bicycle or by a tram running through the long tunnels as well. The tram is two-directional and functions by solar energy. There will be also solar energy cable cars
cable carts from the villages to the bridges.
From viaduct to aqueduct: the storm water of the old and new carriageways will be collected in to water basins located under the bridges. Part of the water will be used for the irrigation purposes, part of the water is used for flushing toilets of the buildings.
Cost of the project: approx. 25 million Euros
