The bicycle path for phase I is a low cost solution. The highway is converted to a two-way bicycle path flanked by greenery and with special features for the tunnel portions. The path will provide the local inhabitants as well as tourists with an unprecedented bicycle experience of panoramic views and a special experience of riding through former expressway tunnels.
As phase II an experimental light modular train line is proposed for the North-South highway. The rail line serves intermediate stations at intersecting cross roads, which gives the valley areas better connectivity allowing them to develop and prosper. This rail line would have the potential of giving the Solar Park highway the attraction and attention it needs to evolve to an economical asset for the region.
