| The park has to show the real potentialities of solar energy and of an integrated approach to local development based on three factors: energy, nature and culture. Energy: Energetic self-sufficiency of the Park. In order to increase the surface of the photovoltaic panels, we designed solar sails and pergolas on the viaducts; in this way the park will be recognizable by the sea, day and night. Moreover, the roadway will be turned into an equipped route. Nature: Roadway sections at ground level will be transformed by the project "Nature metabolizes the highway." Starting with pioneer species (Crassulaceae, Graminaceae, Compositae, ...), the ecological succession will re-naturalize the area, with the gradual appearance of shrubs and then trees, typical of the local ecosystems. Culture: Tunnels will host permanent exhibitions on history, culture, nature and local products; temporary international art exhibitions; shops and leisure activities. |
