Respecting the majestic mountainous nature, Solar Park South is envisioned as a sustainable regional park that embraces the landscape at large to form an iconic part of the region. The Emerald Necklace of Calabria - the linear parkway that duets with a series of secondary landscape routes leading towards summits and valleys, not only reveals the beauty of land form both day and night, but also offers the eco-synergy and alternative economical resource. Framed as a botanical garden, the park recomposes the regional distinctive landscape of hierarchical altitudinal zoning into a dynamic horizontal sequence. Similar to kaleidoscope of Calabria landscape, each segment is diversified in color, smell, grain and texture, providing insight into the treasure nature has to offer. To quote poet Gabriele D'Annunzio: “The most beautiful kilometer in Italy", the Emerald Necklace of Calabria, is a glinting jewel, entwined with the undulating mountains that melt into the coast of Calabria.
