| The tunnels, hidden, secret, become a terrain for the development of new applications based on vegetal life: the production of energy by using the biomass, investigation of new cultivation technologies, food production. A greenhouse tunnel is connected to a cucumber production tunnel, a vegetal production tunnel is followed by a packaging tunnel that connects to a last tunnel which has become a marketplace. The roads and viaducts complete this loop, becoming terrains of experimentation of cultivation in extreme conditions, in greenhouses or in the open, platforms for the discovery of the landscape from a different angle or educational areas concerning the reasonable use of natural resources. This would allow the development of a new economy and would shed a new light over Calabria, land of innovation; the aesthetics of these facilities would inspire curiosity and realization of the world that surrounds us. |
