| The calabrese landscapes are at the same time united and divided by the autostrada. But it exists, and it’s viaducts, tunnels or roads could become an experimentation terrain to reveal and transcend the entire territory. How? By imagining a place where new technologies develop by combining scientific breakthroughs and local tradition. An education for generating new consuming habits could evolve from a strong will to experiment with new vegetal production systems. This project would become an opportunity to create a virtuous circle: technological efforts, valorisation of local resources by developing new economic opportunities, the arrival of a new population, and the generation of alternatives to beachside tourism. The main idea is to step up from an intrusive architectural work to a place where the different living elements can combine in harmony. This place will have to bond and connect with its environment, like a spinal column where different means of transport will be embedded. |
