The plan is based on the reclamation of the entire area concerned, especially the stretches on the viaducts, but also those in the tunnels and the bare-earth sections. We aim to exploit the great potential of the site’s linear nature and implement repeated technical solutions, which will constitute its basic nucleus and the foundation for future growth. We envisage: •The reclamation of the north-south carriageway for local road use; •The establishment of productive entities; •The creation of a research campus to give support to the production sites; •The establishment of an electrically-propelled shuttle-bus system; •The creation of a cycle path along the entire tract; •The installation of the traditional type of wind-turbine generators; •The installation of solar-panel systems of the usual type; •The creation of experimental systems for the production of electrical power; •The reclamation of the sections in the tunnels, putting them to use as rainwater storage.
