| The new Perscombinatie in Amsterdam is the largest printing press in The Netherlands and is a hub of frenetic activity. The project brief demanded utter fluidity of movement and transport around the offices. DS's design proposes using a simple metaphor to structure the entire project area- a monolithic asphalt field with the graphic presence and organization of a newspaper. Headlines pointing to directions and entrances are in enormous captions. Life creates constantly changing illustrations within the page, framing the ever shifting flow of vehicles and machines. |
