| The organic, the basic structure of every form of plant life, becomes the form-giving theme of the central exhibition areas. The change of perspectives, micro and macro, is the connecting thread for the entire area of the garden show. This is articulated differently depending on the location. The material in the existing interim areas in Riem became a design aid. In the garden of powers the similarity of microscopic plant structures serves as an inspiration for new garden views. The parallel gardens are determined by a minimum of elements: cut hedges, woody plantings and east-west pathways form extended parallel spaces. In the leaf garden, a projection serves as the model for the division of the exhibition space. An expanded leaf structure is depicted in the hierarchy of paths, with plant surfaces like leaf cells between them.
