Klimaatark is an environmental
education centre which merges
completely with the Polder landscape.
The traditional Dutch dike
is reinvented as a system to produce,
store and share heat, water
and energy. PV cells and small
scale windmills produce all the
energy it needs. Rainwater collected
on top of the dike is purified
by a sand filter. The house in
front functions as a showcase.
