The municipality of Venlo has been working for several years to redevelop the urban belt adjacent to the Meuse. While the city now turns away from the Meuse, restructuring and boosting will give it a representative side. The new area for living, shopping, culture and recreation will be connected to the city centre. Parts of the redevelopment are the relocation of the Town hall, the development of a secondary channel, the metamorphosis of the marina and the construction of a park. To ensure consistency in the various subprojects Buro Lubbers has formulated a design plan based on an analysis of the landscape along the Meuse and the structure of the city.
