the strategy adopted in designing the project has taken into consideration the emotional impact on the quality of life of individuals created by the presence of historical buildings. a direct consequence of this has been the conservation and functional transformation of part of the existent buildings in the project area. the nice feeling emanated by this place must be given by the perception of being tailored for people, distant from alienating space sensations. the impact of a heterogeneous settlement, embracing new buildings of three, five and seven levels together with buildings in wood and stone, will convey a feeling of habitability to the residents.
