WITH FRANCESCO LIBRIZZI AND STEFANO TROPEA Background, is the Kingdom of Bahrain’s second National participation at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition- La Biennale di Venezia. The exhibition explores the way in which we increasingly construct an imaginary of remote and uniconic urban landscapes through their appearance as background imagery in the media, where urban settings and architectural symbols are used as a medium to convey a socio-political context. During the duration of the four months of the exhibition, the installation will transform, accommodating the change of seasons, the change of light, the change of the span of day- giving visitors the opportunity to experience a living landscape.
