| From the greenway towards the myth-way: from the point of view of our working group the call proposal is considered not perfectly suitable for the mission because the Park would be placed between two roadways and this means between two “carbon dioxide roadways”:the Scilla-Bagnara axis and the new imposing highway.The our project idea suggests reversing the use of roadways: this solution will allow to observe the spectacular Straits of Messina scenario, avoiding to spoil the fine view with the vehicles traffic.The Park must certainly take into account the natural landscape but it must principally refer to its typical cultural scenario, so the Park cannot be a simple greenway. The strong presence of the myth (Scilla and Cariddi, etc.),the Straits of Messina, the Aeolian Islands ,etc., are very important elements that digress from the natural context. The archaic aspects of this place have suggested us to characterize the Park evoking its fundamental aspects: water, light, air, earth. |
