Strategy:
The tunnels are inhabited initially and become laboratories for the landscape. The immediate landscape is studied.

Design:
This ribbon of nature and construction is a series of constantly changing and evolving projects responding to the requirements of the local population over time. For example. It could begin as a series of standardized panels. Type A for plants. Type B for photovoltaic technologies. Type C for wind technologies. The panels can be combined in different configurations to make walls and roofs. Projects could incorporate concepts about color and landscape.

Technology:
The technology for the laboratories and for the constructions is developed from readily available off the shelf sources and catalogs.

Costs:
For projects to be implemented they must not only support and enhance nature but pay for themselves. An example would be projects that produce local agricultural products like wine or olives that could be sold in nearby towns or electrical power.
