The abandoned highway portion, with its viaducts and galleries, is given back to the landscape below. The new solar park is an integrated system involving the new highway, the abandoned one, and the landscape of terraced vineyards. The viaduct, considered a mere engineering work unconcerned with the territory, progressively acquires an own landscape value and, in our proposal, it establishes new connections: .functional, improving the local mobility and promoting the slow mobility; .territorial, rediscovering the ground below; .individual perception, injecting new possibilities of fruition connected to the extreme leisure. The linear path of the old route becomes punctual and transversal reinterpreting peculiarities of the surrounding landscape. Natural and recycling materials together with the solar energy are the design tools to activate processes of landscape rigeneration, to recall the historical imaginary and to produce energy according to rules of environmental sustenability.
