The suggested multi-technological approach, and the unique and experimental characteristic of the project, can be a source of economic and tourist development of the territory. It will be hoped the share of the University of Messina and Reggio Calabria, with the creation of a new energy excellence technological center at European level. The intervention economic estimate (in the event of an in line energy laboratory of 10 kilometers) counts an average construction cost of 500 €/sqm for all the linear development of the viaduct (leave-out). Total is about 55 million including the intervention connected to the reuse of the north-south lane. The costs will be supported in part by the energy companies, providing a recovered rate through the sale of electricity generated by the “Energy Laboratories”, in part by the EC. The economic projection will consider a ten-year implementation scalability.
