Justin is pursuing responsive media in the physical world, exploring the intersection between media technology and architecture, in order to produce programmed and interactive spaces that act at the scale of the spectator’s body. His formal training is in architecture, and he includes web design, DJing and music production in his mix of skills. He was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and has lived and worked in Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles. He recently earned an MFA degree from the UCLA Design | Media Arts, and also holds an M.Arch II degree from the UCLA Architecture and Urban Design, and a B.Arch degree from the Carleton University School of Architecture. Justin is a member of a team of media artists called the Defectikons, with whom he has co-created several media installations and music projects.
