The renovation of this apartment had as a starting point the design of a a kitchen/ dinning room that would meet the needs of a professional chef. The requirements included a very functional kitchen with strict specifications in a space that would also host the dinning room. Our intention was to create a multifunctional unit that would combine and separate different functions, (cooking, lounging and eating); a unit that would constitute the heart of the house and increase the efficiency of this limited space. An important element is the dinning table which is integrated in the kitchen unit and is designed to match various functional and spatial conditions: it can be a small everyday table that liberates space around it or be easily transformed to a large table for a dinning party.
