The Residential Building is placed on a sensitive urban area not far away from the ancient city center, which is one of the most representative place of the gothic and Romanesque culture of Puglia.The functions of the compound are retail on the ground floor, residential on the upper levels. The volumes of the project are divided and splitted in two, defining the north and south houses and this sliding creates a little “piazza” on the sea. All the block is placed 20 meters far away from an other building realizing a private and public garden. This pure volume is bordered by balconies along all the façade with strong cantilevers towards the see. But the really innovation is the finishing of the balcony realised by sliding panels in curtain and aluminium. This screens protect from sun wind and create privacy from the neighbours. They also destroy the façade generating a new housing model very efficacious for the south of Italy.
