Square regeneration
Tesero
A competition launched by the Municipality of Tesero, a village in the Italian Alps, for a full reconfiguration of its central square, and to plan a new supermarket, rooms for small commercial activities and a large underground parking. The project is proportioned to the scale of the voids present in the village, and the plan appears as a unique urban space, that reveals itself as a widely three-dimensional environment in the human scale, enclosed by an artificial skyline that recalls the sorrounding profile of Dolomites. The Porphyd, a local stone, is the material chosen for all the surfaces, and will give to the square a natural and artificial look at the same time.
