This house is being planned for a site to the side of an approach to a small Shinto shrine in a residential area. A long, slender two-story building was placed in the center of the site, and around it spaces incorporating the utilities, such as the bathroom and kitchen, were arranged. By accessing those rooms via the garden, the central building could be established as an area independent from daily life. It is a space connected to the street through a single sheet of glass, lined with doors and windows.
