Shenzen | China - first prize
Inspired by waves, the most natural design language, we attempted to find the most direct dialogue between man and sea. Waves always attract people to the edge of the beach in order to experience their awesome power. Attracting us to the sea from land to view the dynamic differences between morning and evening waves, and the phenomenon of lunar attraction which leads to beach erosion and soft, flowing sand which we use ‘to put some sand between your toes’, as said by those who are living in the city and who feel they have lost that part of nature. Not long ago, the sea was here, the sea was filing with soil, and land seemed to be floating, like an ark on the sea. People can still fell movement of the sea on foot.
