The main feature of this proposal is the deep image change of the interior spaces open to the public and its relation with the external Castello Square. The ancient opaque image of the building changes into transparency: an invitation to enter with the impossibility to distinguish interior and exterior; once inside, a sequence of ascending levels conforms the public spaces. A new organization of the skylights permits a better lighting distribution. The working areas, on the upper levels, are more private and protected by mobile panels which nuance the light. The use of new materials like bronze and serigraphed glass in a building dominated by concrete and a new night illumination proposes an unknown relation between exterior and interior.
