Genetic Architecture
the future - special prize
Genetic Architecture is based in the development of a biological living skin that takes its DNA from different existing organisms and animals on earth. The skin transforms the building into an intelligent structure with automated adaptive systems to suit variable situations. Each building located in different zones of the world will require different properties for the outside skin, such as its color, elasticity, hardness, imageability, protective layer and latitude responsiveness. We can imagine that a building located in a cold region can use a skin made with the DNA of a sea dog, for its thick fat coat, mixed with the DNA of a bear, for its dense protecting fur. In hot climate the skin can can sweat.
