Historically the Black Glacier was one of Norways prime tourist destinations. In addition to the physical and visual marvel of the glacier, old myths and fairytales evoked fascination for the natural phenomenon. This project aims to resurrect the destination to its former glory by applying a concept based on old local myths. At sunset spots of mystical blue lights appear beyond the trodden path, and reveal secrets of the valley (fishing spots, facts, stories etc. presented on specially designed displays). Narrow black lodges provide a contrast to the scenic environment and enable panoramic views towards the glacier.
