Avenue Blaise Pascal & Mendes France Square
Evry - first prize
The avenue Blaise Pascal and the Mendes France square are two traditional urban components with different functions but complementary urban programs. The square is composed of three distinct elements: a pedestrian plaza, a garden and a parking. It connects two separate street levels, and it represents a moment of break in the daily rush. The main role of the avenue, on the contrary, is to maintain the fluidity of the city structure on one hand and to propose a space of quality for pedestrians on the other. One single stripe unifies the banks and all other urban elements adapting to the particular demand of each zone.
