MUSEUM OF HISTORY OF POLISH JEWS
Warsaw - invited
"The primary aim of the museum is to remind people of the enormous achievements and the richness of the Polish Jewish culture in the centuries prior to the World War II and to restore the presence of this culture within contemporary Poland". Architecture will be in charge not only of creating the optimal space to reach this aim but also of making a symbol of it. The building is defined by two interlinked walls, which represent the two interlinked cultures: the Jewish and the Polish ones. - A blind wall, with stone appearance and rough surface, which reminds us of the Salomon Temple in Jerusalem. - A glazed wall, translucent or transparent, which shows towards outside the public areas of the building and which invites people to enter the building.
