Memory Wall
Hotel Puerta America, Madrid
Hotel lobbies and corridors are usually seen as cold and forgotten places, at Puerta America these spaces are transformed into visually stunning environments that interact with hotel guests, creating a unique environment everytime a different person moves through the space.

Memory Wall engages with the individuals passing by, making the lobby space a catalyst for an ambient visual environment. Motion and body mass are captured, filtered and displayed on a light canvas, embedded in the wall, in one continuous loop. The installation is created using LED’s, which act as electronic blotting paper, picking up bits of clothing and body shape and blending them into the wall. As guests pass by they will be able to see distorted images of themselves and as the day goes on, the images linger and change, and move into one another, creating a wall of memories.
