Calcium Nest
Einstein Gardens, Wales, Uk
Calcium Nest engages visiting audience through its poetic design. It shapes an enclosure inviting people to enter, creating a magical biodiverse environment in its womb. At the same time, it connects to the scale of the landscape around. Our art piece brings attention to a particular problem causing the loss of biodiversity, one of the damages of pollution that, together with others, is influencing climate change. We strongly believe in the power of the collective, and that results can be achieved by summing the actions of many. The artwork focuses on a precise thematic to offer encouragement and instruction about a specific action that could be performed and repeated at the individual level.
