The design proposal stems from a reflection around the book, declining it as an architectural element, making it become a serial element of a composition. The furniture design that derives from these premises tends to disappear, leaving the shapes and spaces to be created by the books themselves. The bookcases are composed of an overlapping of modular shelves, which have the particularity of having curved shelves, which become “traces” for the arrangement of the books. The wave effect that the repetition of these elements generates precisely articulates the space. The furniture system consists of, in addition to wall bookcases, tables for displaying books and seats, designed for a modular composition and built in wood. The same curves that draw the bookcases generate these objects, giving a unitary appearance to the furnishings. with Michele Piolini
