The purpose of the combined intervention of the library and the redesign of the park aims to address the existing criticalities by giving unity to the neighbourhood and constituting a public space on a human scale. The prismatic volume creates a structure that breaks the monotony of the context while using compositional elements such as repetition and seriality. The building has a double condition, the external one which is compared with the large scale of the residential district populated by large condominiums and the internal one, attributable to the human scale of the small squares of Italian villages. The final result is an innovative and dynamic building, equipped with large flexible spaces designed to accommodate a large number of users, ready to be renewed thanks to the flexibility of the rooms, with a strong character that makes it a reference element for the whole neighbourhood.
