Edge Cities like Metropark are an expression of the desire to be in the city and in the landscape simultaneously. Therefore it is the goal to create a dialectical landscape, where the qualities of both the terrestrial and the technological landscape support each other. The landscape carving force, similar to the force of glacial drift which is still visible on the site, reacts to the existing structures, creating a unifying virtual landscape. Overlapping zones of intensities provide the basis for the infrastructure map. Pipelines and fields of outlets for infrastructural resources like gas, water, heating, radio/tv, electricity, and telecommunications are defined. Programs and building masses are not defined by a code. They will develop according to the provided infrastructural resources and the current state of technology. The new development in Metropark will be a three-dimensional expression of a dialectical landscape.
