A square as architecture, as cultural and commercial infrastructure, as form which it gives new hierarchies in the urban fabric of the historical city. A new building for the city of Milano: a public square, a space for cultural events, an open air arena for Teatro alla Scala. An architecture mades of arches is connecting all the different buildings with common and commercial spaces, defining a new square and a new reaction between Piazza la Scala, the theatre the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and closer public spaces (Piazza del Duomo and Piazza San Fedele).
