Shoah Memorial
Bologna
Shoah as an act of annihilation, a break and limit in the european history, an attempt to eradicate from the world the concept of man. A memorial as an element of disjunction, a space where it is possible to lose own certainties, a progressive cancellation of the individual, where visitors can reflect in a personal and introspective ceremony. A wall as an element of division, isolation, inequality. This proposal is developed as an intersection between two enclosed paths (lenghth 55 m, width 1,7 m with an inner space of 1,5 m): the first one alligned to ventilation towers which is connecting via Matteotti to via dè Carracci and the second one perpendicular which is visually connected with the railway and the city of Bologna.
