Two-group Kindergarten: The basic condition for the design was to create a building that fits in with the surroundings but doesn’t negate its contemporary reference. The building is harmonious in integration without being subordinated to the main theme – self-evident and uncontrived. The spatial qualities of Niederolang as a village are adopted and further developed as pattern. Whether in typology or atmosphere, the new building aspires to be sensuously embedded in its location;meanwhile its architecture ensures that it actssimultaneously as an intermediary between two worlds (tradition and contemporary life) – yet also as a pointer to the future.
