Peter Pichler Architecture has won an invited design competition for a 5-Star Hotel in Italy's dazzling Dolomites. The hotel is situated in Europe's largest alpine meadow, a paradise for winter sports, hiking, and exploring nature. The project is a conversion of an existing hotel into a 5-star venue. It consists of restructuring rooms and adding new luxury suites on the roof level, as well as a new reception and lounge area. A special feature is the new rooftop spa with a panoramic view of the Dolomites. The facade is a very transparent, light, and open structure that offers brightness and an impressive vista of the landscape from the rooms. The tilted roof assimilates to the local context of the village where the hotel is situated.
