Clessidra - Water clock
Bologna - selected
An artificial iceberg stands upon a floating ceramic sheet and slowly melts down. An ice-cold creek flows to the edge and falls into the underlying stone landscape. Hour after hour, day after day, the dry microcosm is flooded by water, giving shape to bays, island, valley and isthmus. A tribute to the moulding power of nature, and a praise to her wise, slow pace. The installation by MIROarchitetti for Bologna Water Design is a water hourglass that subtly changes in front of the viewer’s eye. Project supported by Dornbracht Italia.
