The hiding box is glass-covered, movable equipment which can be inserted on the normal exterior wall of office building, school and shopping mall. Then it gives a place to hide from daily life for fun. In addition, these extruded glass boxes add visual points on the building façade.
When people hide inside the box, it sticks out outside of the building as if it were being absorbed into the wall. Inside of the box, people can feel the physically isolated space and obtain a certain level of anonymity. It is a part of hiding and a similar process to that of virtual community.
There is no need for concrete programs or services. Hiding is the program for community. The empty space inside box will be common to its own immediate area. Each hiding box will reflect the individual personality of the group of people who use it. Then, people tell others about the hiding boxes. As a result, the new sense of place for community can become a part of everyday life and a focal point of Everyville.
